. . . It Was the Worst of Times* – Part2

. . . It Was the Worst of Times* – Part2

This week I read a disturbing article by Knight-Ridder’s Tom Lasseter about how the Kurds are setting themselves up militarily to secede from greater Iraq when they get the chance.

Now, anyone with an ounce of familiarity with modern Iraqi history understands that Iraq is an artificially created political entity that comprises three primary discrete ethno-religio-social “blocs” – namely the Shi’ite Arabs, who tend to look to Shi’ite Iran; the Sunni Arabs, who tend to look to Syria or Saudi Arabia; and the Kurds, who are Sunnis religiously, but who are the Mid-East’s “red-headed step-children” ethnically, and who tend to look to their fellow co-ethnics in Turkey and Iran.

And, of course, there are in fact centrifugal tensions extant between these three major groups in Iraq:  Indeed, there those experts in the West who have advocated – since the days of the initial US invasion – that the Bush Administration should make it their policy deliberately to seek to break Iraq into three lesser countries – one for the Sunnis, one for the Shi’ites, and another for the Kurds – perhaps with (or without) some sort of unifying Federal relationship.

While this “three-smaller-states” approach does have, in my view, some strong points, the Bush Administration has chosen to attempt to keep Iraq together.  Indeed, after three major elections, there does appear to be some significant progress in that direction – although, of course, there are those forces – both inside Iraq and without – that are both working and praying for Iraq’s disintegration.  One of those forces would appear to be Knight-Ridder’s Tom Lasseter.

After beginning to read Mr. Lasseter’s article about how the Kurds were evidently avidly planning to break away from Iraq by waging open war against their Iraqi Arab brothers-in-arms, I suddenly remembered . . . .  We have featured Tom Lasseter’s Iraq War reporting once before here in JammedGun – and the coverage we gave him was less than favorable, to say the least.  Mr. Lasseter’s reporting had been singled out (for negative notice) at that time by both the Weekly Standard and lgf.

The last time Mr. Lasseter’s reporting caught our eye, he was embedded with a US Marine unit in Western Iraq.  Although Lasseter owed his very life to his Marine handlers, the articles we featured seemingly could not say enough about how brave, militarily savvy, and successful the Sunni “insurgents” (read terrorists) were in their struggle against the American military.

At the time, I highlighted Mr. Lasseter’s writing of such harmful material in time of war, material that could only ENCOURAGE the enemy and DISCOURAGE the very American fighting men guarding Mr. Lasseter’s unworthy hide.

Now, it seems, Mr. Lasseter has perhaps given up (at least temporarily) on his game of lionizing the “insurgents.”  Though I doubt he has written any paeans of praise to the Bush Administration for its success in helping the current Iraqi Government organize and come to power, it probably has occurred to Mr. Lasseter by now that just possibly the “insurgents” are losing.

Ahh, but all is not lost for Mr. Lasseter and other Bush- and America-haters!  If the insurgents cannot bring down the current Government, a civil war surely can.

So, THIS time, we see Mr. Lasseter fairly egging on the Kurds whom he paints as virtually spoiling for a fight with their Arab countrymen.  That’s right, Lasseter, I am accusing you of continuing to do your seditionist work against our military’s struggle in Iraq, only this time from a different angle than before.

Since you were apparently unable to root your terrorist “soul brothers” on to victory, you now see an opening to cause grief in Iraq by highlighting, glorifying, and exacerbating tensions in Iraq between the Iraqi Kurds and their Arab neighbors.

The Bible has a very uncomplimentary phrase for people like Lasseter:  “He that troubleth his own house (where, here, I take the liberty of allowing “house” to represent his country),” (Proverbs 11:29).

Here is a link to a “sketch” of a reporter who makes trouble for his own country.

As I did in my previous uncomplimentary mention of  Mr. Lasseter, I am posting a link to an email address for Tom Lasseter.  I hope that you will email him to let him know that you are wise to his tricks and that you are not appreciative of his continued work against US success and victory in Iraq.

Additionally, I wanted to provide some contact information for Mr. Lasseter’s paymasters at Knight-Ridder.  Surprise, surprise!  The “Management Team” page  provides “profiles,” but NO CONTACT information for the managers at Knight-Ridder!

However, here is a link to the contact information for a number of Knight-Ridder managers across the country.  Feel free to drop one or more of them an email and let them know what you think of Mr. Lasseter’s reportorial point of view on Iraq.

Unfortunately, I have not located contact information on the head of Knight-Ridder’s Washington Bureau, for which Mr. Lasseter works.

Kwanzaa, Schmanza, Mr. President!

Kwanzaa, Schmanza, Mr. President!

I must call your attention to a recent piece by Ann Coulter, in which she most righteously takes our sometimes very hard-to-figure-out President to school for somehow finding time in his busy schedule as “leader of the free world,” to – get this – send out a 2005 “Kwaanza Message.”

If you don’t really understand what the ersatz holiday of “Kwanzaa” is all about (which is exactly: not very much), a read-through of Coulter’s piece will very quickly enlighten you.

Okay, probably the President didn’t really write, edit, read, or even speak this silly “message.”

Still and all, one HAS to wonder: Just what kind of “Texas conservatives” are advising the President, anyway?

Earth to President Bush!  Please major on the majors – not on the idiotic minutiae of the politically correct crowd.

Now, if only President Bush had time to focus on something REALLY important, like halting future base closures, or overruling SECDEF Dumbsfeld’s Pentagon’s decision to forbid military chaplains from praying in Jesus’ Name either in uniform or outside the four walls of a Christian chapel service.

Forget the Kwanzaa fairy tale:  Save our military bases and set our Christian military chaplains free to pray in Jesus’ Name!

Farewell, fjordman!

Farewell, fjordman!

fjordman, one of the great bloggers on the threat of global jihad – especially to his native Norway and the rest of Scandinavia – has decided to quit blogging.

You may still visit his blog and see his farewell post, as well as his links to various other blogs.

His site was stupendous for highlighting a story NEVER told in the North American MSM – that of the frightening entrenchment and encroachment of Muslims in Scandinavia on the culture and polity of the Scandinavian countries.

The combination of incredibly supine and stupid, Politically-Correct government leaders and MSM spokesmen in Scandinavia combined with the uncompromising and militant jihadists living in Scandinavia provide a lethal combination that literally jeopardizes traditional Christian Scandinavian culture.

I suspect that fjordman has stopped blogging out of fears for his personal safety – and/or that of his loved ones.

I recommend a visit to his site before it is, perhaps, too late to view it.

Resolved: Mexico is a Cesspool

Resolved:  Mexico is a Cesspool

Before I ONCE AGAIN launch into the illegal immigration issue – which is nothing less than America’s struggle to retain its own identity – let me FIRST focus on the PRIMARY source of the illegal immigration problem – and that is the country of Mexico, which is – both economically- and politically-speaking – a cesspool.

And, for a variety of reasons, this FIRST CAUSE is generally passed over, overlooked, or otherwise bypassed in the illegal immigration debate.

For, whatever the faults on the American side of the border that contribute to the problem of illegal immigration – and there are MANY – let us not forget for a SINGLE “momento” that the primary culprits are the folks who rule Mexico.

The folks who “control” Mexico include not only the duly elected leaders, with Vicente Fox at the head of the list, but also the various and sundry well-entrenched criminal enterprises that control vast resources, both South – and NORTH – of the border.

Why do people come to America in droves?  Because Mexico is a cesspool.  If it was so great, the flood of humanity would be flowing the other way.

Any country that – despite sitting on HUGE oil reserves – depends for its financial well-being primarily on earnings sent home by its ex-pats from another country personifies the term “basket case.”

This is so obvious that no one seems to mention it: Not Vicente Fox; not President Bush; not the Brown Supremacists supporting unlimited illegal immigration to this country from Mexico; not members of the US Congress, and CERTAINLY not the spokesmen for the oh-so-PC MSM.

Bareback Mountain: Sodomy Glorified – With Kinky Spurs and Chaps and All – Part2

Bareback Mountain:  Sodomy Glorified –  With Kinky Spurs and Chaps and All – Part2

As a follow-up to my earlier post on this subject, I would like to draw folks’ attention to an excellent analysis of the clever psychological approach taken by the makers of the movie Bareback Mountain, of late critical acclaim.

The analysis, by WND’s Dave Kupelian, does an excellent job of showing how the movie succeeds in wedding the theme of boy-means-boy-and-buggers-him to the time-honored and universally-respected American cowboy mystique, thereby breaking down some of the psychological resistance that some viewers might otherwise have to such a campy theme.

Kupelian shows how viewers (who, in my view, clearly lack a scriptural moral framework of right and wrong) are being “won over” by the film.

While the film focuses on the two “gay” cowboys and the ups and downs of their mutual sodomite infatuation, Kupelian trenchantly notes that the cuckolded wives and neglected children scarcely come in for a sympathetic scene in the movie.

In Hollywood these days, it seems that it’s all about listening to the “little head” – and, extra credit goes to those who accomplish that gratification in a recklessly selfish “same-sex” kind of way (especially if done while wearing cowboy boots)!

Munich: Spielberg Proves His Worth – Weighed in the Balances and Found Wanting

Munich:  Spielberg Proves His Worth – Weighed in the Balance and Found Wanting

I will confess for starters that I am not much of one to watch movies – no, not even the porn movies that seem to be so popular these days.  Okay.  I watch a movie now and then:  But if I never see another movie, it will be just fine with me.

In sum, I am rather poorly positioned to pose as a movie critic.   Thus, I will rely on the views of a movie critic whom I much admire – Jack Cashill – to set forth the egregious flaws in Spielberg’s recent disaster, Munich.   (Cashill’s column is wryly entitled, “Brokeback Munich.”)

Spielberg – who has been almost universally lauded for his work on Schindler’s List (a film I own, but have yet to view) – has, in Cashill’s view, missed the mark when it comes to portraying the ongoing battle against Islamofascism on the part of Israel.

In an apparent bid to be politically correct (and, possibly, to make more money?), Spielberg frames the Israelis and their Palestinian foes as moral equals.  Even worse, Spielberg goes out of his way to make the Palestinians to appear “human.”  This is something, as Cashill points out, that Spielberg apparently (and, rightly) never felt necessary in his treatment of the Nazis in Schindler’s List.

Most telling of all, Cashill points out that – in his preparation for Munich – Spielberg curiously placed his script in the hands of one Tony Kushner, whose character and work Cashill paints as follows:

. . . a hard-core leftist, homosexual activist, self-hating Jew, and avowed enemy of Israel. Kushner's wildly over-esteemed AIDS play, "Angels in America," poked a nasty little thumb in America's eye. In "Munich," although he takes a few cheap shots at America, his obvious target is Israel – "a historical, moral, political calamity," as he has claimed elsewhere.

So, there you have it:  Two “critically-acclaimed” US Hollywood Jews have collaborated to make Israel look bad and the Palestinian terrorists look human.  Seems like these days Israel cannot even look to liberal American Jews for moral support in her struggle against those sworn to destroy her.

To paraphrase a biblical phrase, “Can anything good come out of Hollywood (anymore)?”

Or:  To paraphrase another biblical phrase: Spielberg has been weighed in the balance and found wanting.

Starbucks Coffee: Not So Hot

Starbucks Coffee: Not So Hot

Normally, I try to avoid giving my business to Starbucks, as the corp is known for its support of politically liberal causes that I despise: No sense in funding the enemy from within.

There is an additional reason why it is easy for me to avoid patronizing Starbucks – I simply detest their coffee.  It tastes acidic.  In a word: (in my view) Starbucks sucks.

Lest anyone doubt my coffee-drinking creds, I am an inveterate coffee lover and indulge in the drink multiple times daily – including, many times, late at night before sleeping.

Recently, I broke my policy and bought a small cup of regular coffee at a local Starbucks.  I was once again reminded just how lousy Starbucks coffee actually tastes when served without various frills and additions that their more expensive entrees provide.

Give me simple, regular, coffee, I say – the kind you might get at a country diner for truckers.  (I will admit to preferring taking my coffee with cream – or “coffee light,” as some from the hills were wont to say in days gone by.)

Full disclosure:  I do not work for or (to the best of my knowledge) own any stock in any of Starbucks competitors.  Nor (to the best of my knowledge) do any of my loved ones.

Heart-Warming Tales from the Heart of ROPistan – Part 2

Heart-Warming Tales from the Heart of ROPistan – Part 2

One of the most generally underreported stories of “Palestine” over the past two decades is the alarming decrease in the number of Christian “Palestinian” Arabs living in the Holy Land.  Wait! You may be thinking.  Christian “Palestinians?”  Why, all the media ever talks about are the Muslim “Palestinians.”

Your assertion would be correct for the most part, as the MSM herd has both long ignored the Christian “Palestinian” Arabs, as well as their sorry plight at the hands of their Arab “neighbors,” who have persecuted them to the point that MANY of them have emigrated out of the Middle East.

I said the story of the mistreated Christian Arabs of the Holy Land has been generally underreported.  It might be better to say that it has generally been underreported EXCEPT during the annual Christmas season, when Bethlehem is naturally very much in worldwide view.  As WND’s Joseph Farah notes, LAST year* Greg Myre highlighted the disappearing-Christian-Arabs-in-Bethlehem story – only with the despicable twist that the decline in the Christian Arab population of Bethlehem was in large part Israel’s fault.  (Hey, NYT:  All the news that’s fit to twist.)

Sadly, as Farah points out, once again this year, Myre’s theme was robotically picked up and parroted across the globe by numerous media outlets.  Again, Israel was fingered as a primary culprit in Bethlehem’s declining Christian Arab numbers.

Leave it to WorldNetDaily – run by none other than the same American Christian Arab-American Joseph Farah mentioned above – to set the record straight with two hard-hitting pieces: The first, a report by WND’s  Jerusalem bureau chief, Aaron Klein; and the second, an editorial by Farah himself.  Both pieces clarify that it is the lionized Muslim militants of the “Palestinian struggle” – and not the Israelis – who are the tormentors of their Christian brethren in Bethlehem.

___________
*I originally erroneously wrote that Myre had written his piece this year.

Heart- Warming Tales from the Heart of ROPistan

With a hat tip to lgf, here is a heart-warming tale of paternal love from the heart of ROPistan*.

The most touching twist in this storyline is the Judas Iscariot move by the father in telling her that he had forgiven her and for her to come home for a visit – all as a pretext to his plans to kill her.

The second most touching point is that he slit her throat – killed her like an unbelieving pig – while she slept in his home.

The third most touching point is that this father – defender of the faith that he is – acted pre-emptively to protect his family honor by also slaying his three other (younger – one was only four years old) daughters

Note that the oldest daughter’s “crime” had consisted NOT of immorality outside of marriage, nor even of marrying a non-Muslim.  Rather, she had duly married – and had married within the Faith.  However, she had committed the crime of marrying the man that she actually loved – rather than the man of her father’s choosing.

And, of course, according to the quaint ways of “ROPistan,” for this crime she must needs die!

“Family honor,” and all that, you know!

And George Bush still cannot come out like a man and call our enemies by name.  In view of the fact that he has sent men off to die in this war, the least he could do is have the decency to call them by name, for God’s sake.

But, NOOOOOOO!  Political correctness is dearer to the Prez than moral clarity.

As Michael Savage says on his show with some regularity: In past wars, we have DEMONIZED our enemies!  During WWII, our propaganda ridiculed the “Japs,” and the “Krauts” with invective that would give today’s NYT/Time/Newsweek reporters the willies!

However, such “demonization” provides both the people and the troops with some sort of moral focus.  War is hard enough already for the soldier in the field without his having to worry about whether or not he is allowed to interrogate captured suspects with vigor – let alone having possibly  said something to offend the enemy.

“This extra-constitutional construct has grown tiresome”

“This extra-constitutional construct has grown tiresome”

Well, well, well!  None other than the august Jerry Falwell has a great and encouraging piece in WND detailing how the ACLU just got their filthy arses whipped in a court of law – in none other than the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, to be exact.

At issue was the ACLU’s hysterical and strident objection to any acknowledgment of the Divine in Government places – in this case a Mercer County, Kentucky, "Foundations of American Law and Government" display that contained – among other items – (scary music, please) a replica of the Ten Commandments.   You maybe shocked, SHOCKED, to know that the Ten Commandments have actually played and influential role in the way our legal system was established.

You see, the ACLU has this “thing” about crosses, the Ten Commandments, the Bible, and prayer in Jesus Name being displayed, read, or heard anywhere , in this country outside the four walls of a church.   In psychology, this kind of “thing” would normally called an “obsession,” as when a man obsessed by an actress begins to stalk her.   In sex, such a “thing” is known as a “fetish,” as in, say, a “pantyhose fetish.”

Well, the ACLU stalkers obsessed about their anti-Ten-Commandments fetish in court, yet once again, and – lo, and behold, -- their were some justices that actually took a moment to read the First Amendment and to notice that the ACLU mantra (and another “obsession”) of “separation of church and state” is nowhere to be found there (or anywhere else in the Bill of Rights or in the Constitution proper, for that matter).

In fact, noting that the ACLU was resorting to this hollow refrain of “separation of church and state” just a bit too stridently, the court handed them a stunning rebuke worthy of one to be handed out to a school boy caught up to no good, saying in part, “This extra-constitutional construct has grown tiresome. The First Amendment does not demand a wall of separation between church and state."

Amen.  I second the motion.  In fact, I would say – along with Michael Savage, who calls the ACLU our nation’s premier internal enemy –  that the gay-activist-led ACLU itself has become more than a little “worrisome” to the American body politic.

Bravo to the Sixth Circuit Court – and Bravo to the Liberty Counsel that took the ACLU on in court.

Seeeeeeeennnsitive Dhimmi-Minded Pentagon Chiefs Welcome Muslim Chaplains, Toss Jesus’ Name Overboard

Seeeeeeeennnsitive Dhimmi-Minded Pentagon Chiefs Welcome Muslim Chaplains, Toss Jesus’ Name Overboard

In an article that is enough to make one lose his cookies, the Washington Times shines the searchlight on a process of spiritual perfidy on the part of the Pentagon Chiefs (and that includes the Chiefs of Chaplains) perpetrated against the Christian believers of this country – and, particularly, against the Christian believers in the military laying their lives on the line to protect “religious liberty!” (Hat tip: Drudge.)

First, under President Clinton, the military welcomed its first Muslim chaplains into the military ranks.  Now, under President Bush, the Pentagon is telling chaplains that the Name of Jesus Christ is persona non grata outside the four walls of a specifically “Christian” chapel service.

This is perfidious on so many levels: First, because our country was founded by Christians (not Muslims, Buddhists, or secular atheists); second; because for centuries, chaplains have been praying in Jesus’ Name in the military; third, because – unlike in civilian life – prayer is traditionally asked for and given in numerous secular, non-religious contexts (e.g., Dinings In and Dinings Out, to name just two); fourth, because military people put their lives on the line frequently, both in training and in actual mission performance, and they, therefore, often feel a need for prayer; and, fourth, and finally, if we plan on winning the current ongoing Christian Crusade against the Jihadists, we need all the Divine favor we can get!

Hint: Kicking Christ out of the military public square hardly seems the approach to take by a military leadership that is in dire need of Divine assistance to win an on-going, wide-ranging, and protracted conflict.

Bush, Rumsfeld, the service secretaries, the uniformed service chiefs of staff, and the chiefs of chaplains are nothing short of spineless, unprincipled, and irreverent asshats to have permitted this state of affairs to have gotten as far as it has.

Since When Do You Have Veto Power over the US Congress, El Presidente Fox?

Since When Do You Have Veto Power over the US Congress, El Presidente Fox?

After some 20 years of gross neglect of our Southern border by both major parties throughout a parade of Presidential Administrations, the House of Representatives finally found the courage to vote to build a wall/fence across some 700 miles of our border with Mexico.

Well, the Mexican Government is UPSET – and its officials are speaking out against it, even saying they want to kill that fence or law!

Steyn at His Telling Best

Steyn at His Telling Best:  Racism Bad -- So Is Self-Delusion

Tired of blonde Scandinavian and Australian women in the media apologizing for the Muslim men who rape their other Scandinavian and Australian women ?  Tired of the MSM hacks whitewashing the violence of Muslim thugs in Paris burning cars as if they were so many pieces of firewood?  Tired of AP and BBC neglecting to mention that the cutthroats who blow people to bits in Bali, Beslan, and Jerusalem are MUSLIMS (let alone terrorists)?

Well, you are not alone.  In fact, you are in good company with none other than the inimitable Mark Steyn, whose piece linked to here is nothing short of devastating in the way it highlights the dangerous and cowardly self-delusion in the West that allows us to excuse EXPLICITLY Muslim violence in the name of whatever.

Hey, even President Bush takes a very childish approach to describing our enemies who have killed over 2,100 Americans!

You would think that BY NOW the President could have screwed up enough courage to be regularly calling our enemies what they are – ruthless, cutthroat Islamofasists!

Harvard and Georgetown Dhimmis Greedily Accept Tainted Saudi Money

Harvard and Georgetown Dhimmis Greedily Accept Tainted Saudi Money

In a story that is sure to warm the hearts of Dhimmis and jihadi-lovers worldwide, WND notes how both (the FABULOUSLY wealthy) Harvard and Georgetown Universities have accepted a multi-million-dollar gift from Saudi Prince Al-Walid Bin Talal to promote Islamic-Christian understanding, among other things.

Remember that in Saudi Arabia, it is a crime to own a Bible, it is a crime to hold Bible study, it is crime to hold a Christian church service, and it is a crime for a Muslim to become a Christian.

Remember that Saudi Arabia funds the export of the militant brand of Wahhabism (the home-grown Saudi brand of militant, fundamentalist Islam) to mosques worldwide – including most US mosques.

The Dhimmification of the United States continues apace, with greedy university administrators numbering among the pace-setters.

Just say NO to Dhimmitude!  Support anti-CAIR.

Muslim Rapists Brazen in Norway and Sweden

Muslim Rapists Brazen in Norway and Sweden

Once again, Norway’s fearless blogger, fjordman, has posted a blockbuster of a newspiece:  The rapes of white Swedish and Norwegian women by Muslim males has become epidemic.

To make matters worse, the politically correct media and government officials have conspired to keep the problem largely suppressed – meaning that Scandinavian women continue to be raped and their Muslim assailants largely go free.

A word to fjordman:  Keep publishing the truth!

A word to Scandinavian media outlets and Government officials:  Grow a spine and pursue this story – wherever it leads.

A word to my fellow Americans: It CAN happen here: It is up to us to be persistently vigilant to see that it does not!

Funny how Muslim logic works:  Western females are sluttish and loose (which is often true).  Their sluttishness offends our superior Muslim morality.  Therefore, we gang-rape them to prove our superior morality!  (Huh?)

Targeting the "Geniuses" Who Run Google Earth

Targeting the “Geniuses” Who Run Google Earth

Google is run by a couple of billionaire kids who understand technology and sales – but apparently not much about patriotism, responsibility, or terrorism.

A few weeks back, while listening to Michael Savage on the radio, I remember hearing Savage calling for the Government to shut down the Google Earth site as both a violation of privacy and as a tool that could be used by terrorsists.

At the time, I thought his call a bit extreme.

Now, I am not so sure.

WND has a new piece out suggesting that the terrorists in Iraq are using Google Earth as a supplement to GPS for getting visuals on US positions in Iraq.

I say: Time for the US Government to shut down Google Earth.  My son is in Iraq, dammnit!  I don’t like the idea of terrorists using Google Earth to look at his or any other American fighting man’s positions as part of their OPS planning.

Congress needs to investigate Google’s Google Earth project NOW!

To the two “gel-haired kids” (Savage, again) who run Google:  Try growing up and caring about the country that made your spectacular financial success possible.  You may provide services to the world, but you owe at least a modicum of loyalty to the United States.  If you don’t agree, please consider relocating to China, where you seem to be able to get along just fine with the Communist Government.

Perhaps you’d like to give our patriotic “friends” at Goooooooooogle a call to let them know how much you think of the fine support they are providing our troops in Iraq with their neat little tool called Google Earth:

phone: 650-253-0000
fax: 650-253-0001

The only email address I have found so far for Google is the one to their Business Proposals office.  (Osama Bin Laden may want this one – seeing Google has already shown itself willing and able to provide terrorist-friendly services via Google Earth!  Perhaps some future “deals” can be arranged by the terrorists with the “globally-minded” geniuses at Google.)

While Fighting Terrorists in Iraq and Elsewhere: Let’s Not Forget about China!

While Fighting Terrorists in Iraq and Elsewhere:  Let’s Not Forget about China!

This weekend I stumbled across some disturbing news items about our enemy, Red China.  (Off-Topic Question: Why does Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) get a free “media scrutiny” pass while being married to a man who is heavily involved in business deals in Red China?  Doesn’t this call for an investigation, a la Tom Delay?)

Back to the topic at hand . . . .  It has been stated elsewhere that official Chinese PLA (People’s Liberation Army) doctrine calls the United States its enemy.  Experts suspect that a major confrontation between the United States and China might occur sometime between now and 2012 – depending on whether appeasers or patriots occupy the White House at the time.)

While we are busy fighting terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan, China is racing toward superpower status on three fronts: Economics; an alarming military build-up; and diplomacy.

On the economic front, China has already conquered the United States, thanks to greedy, selfish, unpatriotic businessmen (including Senator Feinstein’s very wealthy husband) who gladly buy cheap Chinese goods made by slave labor and import them to the United States, thereby undermining US industries.

On the military, front, China is again working on at least four fronts: Buying weapons systems (or technology applicable to such weapons systems) from Russia and elsewhere (to include the United States); stealing US technology using its numerous spies in this country; preparing for a cyber war by hacking our military computer systems; and building its own fearsome new weapons systems, to include potent missiles.

On the diplomatic front, China is working hard to win and/or buy influence around the world – including in Asia, South America, and Africa.  One particularly disturbing trend is China’s willingness to crassly “buy” friendship in Africa by making goods readily available at a cheap price and by building infrastructure in impoverished African countries such as Ivory Coast and Senegal, as this ABC news report reveals.

China is acting very cleverly, propping up corrupt African leaders desperate for help and winning the rights to search for and exploit potential oil reserves in these African countries.

In China’s case, the proverbial inscrutable Asian mind is doing its diabolical best to set China up for victory on the chessboard of world power.  Is anyone in the Bush Administration (or in Dianne Feinstein’s Congress, for that matter) even alive to what is happening?

Let’s hope so.

Remember: The Islamofascists and the Chinese are de facto allies, as they both want to defeat America.

Bareback Mountain: Sodomy Glorified – With Kinky Spurs and Chaps and All!

Bareback Mountain: Sodomy Glorified – With Kinky Spurs and Chaps and All!

It is noteworthy that the Hollywood assault on biblical morality continues unabated, with the release of the much-ballyhooed Bareback Mountain, or some title to that effect.  Hey, these are REAL macho-men – actual cowboys – getting it on!  (Hat tip: I first heard the title Bareback Mountain while listening to the Michael Savage talk radio show.)

Well, Les Kinsolving, gives this movie a cowboy-sized “probing” and “skewering” (puns intended), wondering when Hollywood will ever release a “cowboy-meets-hot-animal” featuring of steamy bestiality while home on the range!

Of course, movies like Bareback Mountain should be made family affairs, right?  No more of this homophobia stuff for our younger generation.  So, pointfiveblog suggests the darling and endearing BrokeBareback Happy Meal Adventure for the national fast-food franchise industry.

Oh.  In case you were wondering: I am a “gay ally!” (NOT!)

A salute to Stop the ACLU!

A salute to pointfiveblog.

Black History Month Scored by Actor Morgan Freeman (Or: Quit Harping on the Racism Issue!)

Black History Month Scored by Actor Morgan Freeman (Or:  Quit Harping on the Racism Issue!)

Having served in the military for a number of years in days gone by, I saw the annual observation of “Black History Month” – as well as “Hispanic Heritage Month” and “Asia-Pacific Heritage.”  It all seemed to be such a needless and wearisome exercise to me.  People in the military have plenty to do without having such artificial activities thrust upon them!

I never liked these “ethnicity month” emphases, as they seemed contrived at best and divisive at worst.  Liberals seem to have this “fetish” about race: They HAVE to KEEP harping on it.  Like a wound with a scab on it, some things are best left alone and permitted to heal – and one of those things is racial tension.  Left to themselves, in most cases, people work t things out.  Where I currently work, Americans of African, Latino, Asian, and European heritage somehow manage to intermingle and cooperate daily just like it was “normal.”  After awhile, one tends to see his coworkers as “Jack” or “Sarah” -- not as “that black guy,” or “that Latino lady.”  Where there are disagreements, race is not the issue, the work-related issues at hand are the issue.

I was gratified to hear that the actor, Morgan Freeman, recently criticized the concept of “Black History Month” as “ridiculous,” while also suggesting that the best thing to do about racism is to “Stop talking about it!”  (Uh-oh:  Jesse Jackson, call your office!)

Actually, that sounds like something we should try, even if it does mean putting professional race-hustlers like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton out of work!

Freeman’s remarks seem to come as oil on troubled waters after all the “racism” talk that came during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.  After all the remarks that blacks were targeted and/or neglected, etc, etc, it is instructive to note that figures recently released show that (surprise, surprise) Katrina killed across racial and economic lines!  Moreover, as Kevin McCullough points out, as a percentage of total population, it was whites – and not blacks – that suffered the highest Katrina fatality rate of any racial group!

Sometimes it seems to me that we all (myself included).  Biblically speaking, although there are many ethnicities, there is only ONE race – the human race !  After all, we all come from the same parents: Adam and Eve!

Brown Supremacists Lobby for Unrestricted Illegal Immigration

Brown Supremacists Lobby for Unrestricted Illegal Immigration

One aspect of the debate on illegal immigration and how to deal with it that I have largely neglected is the fact that there are both Mexicans, as well as Americans of Mexican ancestry, who are militantly defending and pushing for unrestricted illegal immigration from Mexico.

Many of these activists are actually flagrant RACISTS, who talk blithely of LA RAZA (Spanish for – not “a” race, but for – “THE RACE”), meaning that the only race that matters to them is their own brown race, which – aside from the fact that their racism is just as tawdry and egregious as that of Hitler or the Ku Klux Klan – is equally flawed in its logic, as – if any one knows anything about Mexico – they are very racially mixed with American Indian, Spanish, and other bloodlines.  So, what race is it, exactly, that they are talking about?  Hey, Vicente Fox is part Irish, does he qualify for La Raza – or does he get DQed for having too much “gringo” blood in him?

So blatant is this racism that the national radical Mexican separatist group MEChA has a Spanish slogan, that being interpreted means approximately: “For La Raza, everything; for those outside La Raza, NOTHING!”  So, it is not racism, per se, that they oppose, simply any racism that does not allow them to be the arbiters of justice.

I have personally seen this organization (MEChA) being permitted to recruit members along with regular fraternities on the main campus of UTSA (The University of Texas at San Antonio).  I wonder if the President of UTSA would also permit a white racist group to recruit on campus?  Hmmm.  I don’t think so.

Hey!  Do you suppose UTSA’s Prez – who sports a link to an ACLU Award video on his President’s Web page on the official UTSA Web site is “down” with the brown supremacist views of MEChA?  He does list the New York Times as one of his favorite Web sites.  Sounds like a real red-blooded Patriot, doesn’t he?

Anyway, if you want to see a Web site run by an America-hating, brown supremacist racist living in the great State of Texas, please visit Dos Centavos blog, although – unlike this blog – it appears that its creator does not permit comments.  (Typical Marxist “freedom of speech!”).

You see, many of these America-haters want a large portion of the Southwestern US to secede from America to form a racist, brown-supremacist, country called Aztlan.

The funny thing is, the minute someone lets a white racist out of his closet, everyone goes ballistic (which is fine), but when a non-white racist starts pushing his propaganda, everyone seems to turn a blind eye.

If you are not white – but also not Hispanic – then you have reason to be alarmed, as well.  If these brown, Spanish-hablaing racists get their way, they will not be much nicer to blacks and Asians than they are to whites.  Already I have read of disrespect shown by Hispanics to both Asians and blacks in California, where, although there is at present in that state no racial majority, an ever increasing share of the political power is held by Hispanics, many of whom are sympathetic to the secessionist goals of the brown supremacists.  They are not lobbying for unrestricted illegal immigration from Africa or Asia – only from Mexico and/or Latin America.  Remember, they are blatantly racist in their aims:  They are BROWN SUPREMACISTS – every bit as racist as Adolph Hitler was.

In closing, let me make it clear that these brown supremacists HARDLY speak for all Americans of Mexican or other Latino descent.  Of course, most Americans of Latino descent are decent, patriotic, hard-working people.  Many of them are strong Christians.  Many serve with distinction in our Armed Forces – especially now during the War on Terror.

In NO WAY am I in ANY way disparaging ANY Patriotic, America-loving Americans of Mexican (or other Latino) descent.  I salute them and love them.  May their tribe increase!

My opposition is directed specifically at those Americans of Mexican descent who hate America, and want to impose their own peculiar brand of brown supremacist racism on the rest of us.  These kooks need to be exposed and outed and removed from political power.

If you would like to contact Dr. Ricardo Romo, the President of UTSA, to tell him what you think of his permitting a racist organization such as MEChA to recruit and function openly on his university’s two campuses, here is his contact information:

One other important thing about these brown racists that deserves mention is something that they NEVER seem to mention: Namely that the country of Mexico is such social, economic, and political stinkhole.  Nowhere do I hear the brown supremacists calling for Mexico to clean up its act.  No!  According to these La Raza racists, America is apparently supposed to be the safety valve and overflow tank for whatever people Mexico cannot feed, house, or employ adequately.  So, instead of criticizing the SOURCE of the problem (Mexico), they trash the one country that has done the MOST to help Mexico to survive by taking in millions of its unemployed citizens (many of them illegally).

My Sincere Apologies to Lucky Singaporean: Correction

My Sincere Apologies to Lucky Singaporean: Correction

In an earlier post today, I unintentionally misconstrued and misrepresented Lucky Tan’s point and purpose in a post of his own on his blog called Diary of a Lucky Singaporean on the subject of foreign Malaysian workers in Singapore.

In fact, what I implied in my piece was exactly the opposite of what Lucky Tan intended to say.

While I represented Tan as saying that the presence of 400,000 (largely Muslim) Malaysian workers in Singapore represents a serious security threat to Singapore, Tan, in two posts (here and here), made it clear that he was trying to say exactly the opposite – i.e., that the presence of some 400,000 (largely Muslim) Malaysian workers in Singapore is a boon – not only to Singapore’s economy – but also to Singapore’s security.

I apologize to Lucky Tan and any and all readers whom I may have inadvertently misled in the process.

In the meantime, the original post has been changed to more accurately reflect Mr. Tan’s position (as opposed to mine) regarding the matter of the presence of a significant Malaysian labor presence in Singapore and its implications regarding Singapores’ security.

A Wake-Up Call on Illegal Immigration

A Wake-Up Call on Illegal Immigration

Time to blow the whistle on illegal immigration.

Read this piece about how blacks are being squeezed out of South Central Los Angeles by homeowners that put FIVE Mexican families in ONE house!

As Michael Savage says, President Bush fiddles (on illegal immigration) while American burns.

The lack of immigration control in this country is an outrage and a scandal.

But Bush is oblivious.  (Hey, they aren’t cutting through my ranch in Crawford!0

No, Mr. President, but they are going AROUND it!

Giving the Devil Her Due

Giving the Devil His Her Due

I will take a moment to tip my hat to my friend in the blogosphere, Elizabeth, who’s blog, Fit to Print?, is just about the polar opposite of this one on virtually any issue you can mention.  Nonetheless, Elizabeth is a bright and well-traveled individual.  While I seldom agree with her, she does challenge me on many points.  She even posts comments on this blog from time to time.

Elizabeth thinks coporal punishment of sons is child abuse.  She thinks the Israelis are intruders in their own land.  She even apparently thinks Islam is no more a source of terror than the Lutheran church down the street from your house.  And so on . . . .  Still, I enjoy repartie with her on various topics.

On he positive side, Elizabeth does not hate this country or wish President Bush harm at all costs, as many sorry leftists do, and I acknowledge these facts and commend Elizabeth for same.

Visit her blog.  Check out the comments.  Leave a comment of your own.

Singapore’s Immigrant Worker Problem

Singapore’s Immigrant Worker Problem

Although most of them are legal, tiny Singapore has a problem with non-native workers: Some 400,000 (mostly-Muslim) Malaysians live and work in prosperous Singapore.

A native Singaporean blogger, in his blog: Diary of a Lucky Singaporean, posts of the obvious security danger this foreign work force poses to his country.

While the blogger, whose name is Lucky Tan, thinks that the presence of all these foreign laborers in his country is just grand, I question the wisdom of his position.  In my view, this large Malaysian presence in Singapore presents an obvious security problem.

I am not sure if this guy really gets it.

Israel Warns Iran of Nuclear Retaliation if Attacked

Israel Warns Iran of Nuclear Retaliation if Attacked

Although this blog has not covered it, it is generally well known that Jihadist Shi’ite Iran is racing at breakneck speed to become a nuclear power – with some assistance from their friends, to include our “friend,” Russia.  (Hmmm.  Something doesn’t add up there.)

Anyway, Israel has warned Iran point blank of what lies ahead if Iran continues to accrue nukes.

The pertinent article, found in WND, comes to you via a great new blog, called POr PnOI sOn.  Its author is a Messianic Jew – i.e,. a Jew who takes Yeshua Ha-Mashiach (Jesus Christ) as LORD and Savior.

How Does That Crow Taste, Mr. Hewitt?

How Does That Crow Taste, Mr. Hewitt?

The other day, I was listening to the Hugh Hewitt radio talk show, and host, Hugh Hewitt was crowing about how he had the bead on the immigration thing, because he had guests on his show like Senator Kyle (who, admittedly, is a fine man) to discuss the issues, so listeners should listen to him (Hewitt) to keep abreast of the illegal immigration debate in Washington.  Then, in a gratuitous dig, Hewitt said something along the lines that Representative Tom Tancredo (R-CO) has exactly zero effect in Washington, DC.

My first reaction to that was to think that Hewitt needs to get his mind out of the gutter that is the “inside-the-Beltway” sewage system.  Second, however, I realized – from having heard Tancredo on both the Michael Savage and Carl Wiglesworth shows – that Tancredo has had a tremendous impact in Washington – having progressed from zero impact originally to n now being THE voice of the Republican grassroots on the issue of illegal immigration.

It is instructive to note that Tancredo has built his influence in Congress DESPITE having had to swim AGAINST the stream of pro-illegal-immigration stands by both the deceitful Bush White House (hey, my Crawford Ranch isn’t being overrun, so we don’t have a problem) and the corrupt Republican Party (supported by business owners that LOVE to hire illegals).  By the way, the Democrats are domestic enemies on the issue of illegal immigration, as they are on everything else, so they have also been obstacles to Tancredo.

Last night, as WND points out, Tancredo’s slowly and deliberately accumulated political clout in Washington was clearly demonstrated when the House of Representatives passed a border-control bill that, among other things, calls for the building of a security fence along our border with that dysfunctional country called Mexico.

I’d say it is time for Mr. Hewitt – who is indeed the most decent man in media today – to eat crow on air regarding the clout of Mr. Tancredo.

How about it, Hugh?

___________________

Meanwhile, we should never forget that, prior to the House’s passage of this border-fence bill, Mexico’s President, Vicente Fox called the idea – along with other measures to control our borders – “shameful and disgraceful.”

Right, Vince!  And you guys let just everyone who wants to come across Mexico’s southern borders from places like El Salvador, Nicaragua, Colombia, and Brazil, right?

More Muslim “Milk of Kindness” towards Non-Muslims (Indonesia This Time)

More Muslim “Milk of Kindness” towards Non-Muslims (Indonesia This Time)

WorldNet Daily lists yet another chapter in the ever-growing annals of the Muslim “Milk of Kindness” towards non-Muslims.  This one from Indonesia – a Muslim “democracy,” if I am not mistaken.

It seems three Indonesian men are dangerously close to being hanged for the crime of BWC (“breathing while Christian”) in Indonesia.

Please keep in mind that Indonesia is one of those countries where outbreaks of Jihadist violence transpire spontaneously, with the result that Christians are killed or raped.  (Seldom do we hear of the culprits being punished.)

These three men were actually trying to evacuate children from a Christian school ahead of the arrival of a murderous and destructive crowd of Muslims who burned down the church that housed the school.

If these three men are executed, it will be a travesty of justice of titanic proportions.  Let’s see if the Bush State Department shows any concern for their fate . . . .  (Doubtful, as the Bush State Department apparently only cares about the mistreatment of Muslims.)

Congressman Sensenbrenner: I Only Play for Keeps against US Citizens

Congressman Sensenbrenner: I Only Play for Keeps against US Citizens

Congressman James Sensenbrenner (R-WI), who has earned for himself a reputation of somewhat of Genghis Kahn for his hardball approach to limiting the freedoms of his fellow Americans via the PATRIOT Act (and other measures) in the name of national security in the face of a war on terror has shown that he has another, more “touchy-feely” side when it comes to dealing with illegal aliens (when faced, incidentally, with that SAME war on terror!).

Yesterday, during committee hearings, Sensenbrenner backed away from a provision he had previously backed including in a border enforcement and employee work verification bill now under consideration in the House: Previously, Sensenbrenner had said that the crime of illegal immigration should be upgraded to a felony offense .

Yesterday, the new “kinder, gentler” Congressman Sensenbrenner called for a downgrading of the offense of illegal immigration to a mere misdemeanor in the pending legislation.

We get it, Congressman!  You want to put the whip to your fellow-citizens, while making like a loveable teddy bear vis-à-vis illegal aliens.  We get it, indeed!

As Michael Savage might say: You are proving yourself to be an “empty suit!”

McPain’s Obsession with Torture about to Hamstring the War on Terror

McPain’s Obsession with Torture about to Hamstring the War on Terror

The allegedly “Republican-led” House of Representatives just voted in support of McPain’s proposal to ban all forms of torture by our side against an enemy that slowly slits throats and removes heads on video while robotically praising their false moon-god “deity” (sic).

McPain is the Manchurian Candidate:  What can we expect?  The elected “Republican leaders” in Washington are political eunuchs.  The only ones they seem capable of ravishing are their own constituents.

The Bush Administration – with good reason – does NOT want a TOTAL ban on torture.

Question for McPain: To which audience are you playing in your quest to unilaterally handcuff our troops in their effort against a global enemy sworn to destroy us – an enemy that, coincidentally, HAS NO RULEBOOK?

Question for House Republicans: Do you think your support for the McPain restrictions endears you to your political base?

KEEP TORTURE AVAILABLE TO OUR SIDE AS A WEAPON AGAINST THE THROAT-SLITTING JIHADIST VERMIN.

Australians Reach the Tipping Point

Australians Reach the Tipping Point

The Lebanese Muslim immigrant community in Australia has long been overreaching itself – most saliently by brazen daylight gang-raping of white Australian women.

While hundreds of such rapes have been reported, fewer than a dozen Muslims have been charged and convicted with rape.

The very patient – but also very gutsy – Australian people have waited in vain for their insanely politically correct judicial system and police to do something to protect them.

While the Muslims have grown ever bolder, the Australian legal and law enforcement authorities have shown themselves to be little more than geldings or Dhimmis.  (Remember: They confiscated guns from the Aussies in 1996.)

This past few nights, the proverbial cowpie has hit the fan: The Aussies have had enough. While the MSM play this as the outbreak of violence on the part of drunken white neo-Nazis, one can pick up a different theme on some of the blogs out there where Australians are venting their spleen.

One great place to read these comments is this thread on lgf .

“We have had enough!” they are saying.

Indeed: They have.

Hats off to all brave Australians who have decided to defend their patria from the foreign, invading horde.

Stay tuned: This battle is spreading across the globe – and speedily.

Americans: Arm yourselves.  Stand read to defend your families and yourselves when it comes to it!

Long live the Second Amendment!

Tony Blankley Nails It on the Calls for Iraqus Interruptus!

Tony Blankley Nails It on the Calls for Iraqus Interruptus!

Tony Blankley, himself an immigrant to this country from England is – among other things – a gifted columnist for the Washington Times.

Possessed of a clarity of vision, Blankley has plainly limned out the significance of the current war against Islamofascism: It is a threat of equal magnitude to that which Nazism presented under Hitler.

We are not talking about a local threat to Iraq or Afghanistan – we are talking about a struggle between cultures that is global in scale.

Thus, we should not be surprised that Blankley nails the latest rounds of calls by leading Democrats for immediate withdrawal from Iraq.  I would coin the term for immediate withdrawal as “Iraqus Interrruptus.”

The associations of that term are deliberate and apt.  In short it bespeaks the artificial termination of something approaching a natural and desired outcome – in this case, victory in Iraq.

Moreover, Blankley makes the telling point that the argument can be made that those so robustly calling for immediate “interruptus” are indeed liable to the charge of objectively threatening our national security.

Hey, Congressman Murtha, keep your “interruptus” fixation behind closed doors where it belongs, will you?

More Muslim “Milk of Kindness” towards Non-Muslims (Pakistan)

More Muslim “Milk of Kindness” towards Non-Muslims (Pakistan)

In a charming little piece about the quaint Muslim people of a faraway land, we read that the ROPers (followers of Islam – George W. Bush’s “Religion of Peace”) are calling for the ELIMINATION of Christianity and for the hanging of a Christian believer accused of “blasphemy.”

To all those who want us to believe that Islam is just another lovely religion and that all those Muslims living in our midst are really fine people, . . . I am afraid you have some explaining to do.

Are the Hindus in India, or the Buddhists in Thailand, or the Christians in the Philippines calling for the ELIMINATION of Islam?  I don’t THINK so.

And to our subversive, hate-filled friends at CAIR, who seem to run into a US courtroom every time they feel some US Muslim’s “widdle feewings have been huwt,”  are you fine folks going to speak out against this latest outrage in Pakistan?  (Hint: I am not holding my breath!)

Hey Washington! THIS Is Why We Are Angry at Out-of-Control Illegal Immigration

Hey Washington! THIS Is Why We Are Angry at Out-of-Control Illegal Immigration

If you really want to get angry at the insanity of this country’s failure to take control of its borders, read this story in WND about a Mexican  illegal alien who did everything wrong and has, until recently at least, not only “gotten away with it,” but has also prospered.

Kicked out this country twice, he entered illegally a third time, netted a job paying over $44K/year and a (legal) Federally-backed home lone for over $123K and bought a brand new home.

Not only that, he has racked up some eleven traffic tickets and, now . . . . he has been accused of raping a number of women.

Rather makes sense:  He has, in a sense, already been raping us ALL for quite awhile now.

I don’t know about you, but I just don’t want to sit back and enjoy it… What about you?

As the article linked to points out, what if he had been a member of al-Qaeda (intent on doing even more serious harm)?

McPain Again: The Torture Issue

McPain Again: The Torture Issue

Senator McPain’s proposed restrictions on torture must be stopped.

Once again, Senator McPain mistakes his own struggles with inner demons for the “main event.”  We all know that he was tortured in VietNam.  No doubt he is scarred – mentally, emotionally, and physically – for life from that harrowing experience.

Still, this anecdotal truth should not be allowed by McPain or by the Senate to cloud our thinking on what is the best way to run a war against terrorists, who – are you listening, Senator? – know NO rules!

Get it?  They will do ANYTHING to win.  We are in no position unilaterally eschew all torture, ever, anywhere, regardless of the circumstances.

Once again, McPain is playing to the MSM and to the Left – and once again, his stubbornness is hurting America and its fighting men.

As Newsmax.com points out, McPain admits that torture worked (for the North Vietnamese) in his own case.

What is more important, our own troops are opposed to McPain’s proposed restrictions on interrogation.

Even more serious is the very legitimate concern that following McPain’s restrictions on how to exact information from prisoners may well result in more death.

Doesn’t McPain watch any movies?

The Whole Defeatist-Democrats-and-Joe-Lieberman-on-Iraq Thing

The Whole Defeatist-Democrats-and-Joe-Lieberman-on-Iraq Thing

This Mark Steyn piece is over a week old , but it does a great job of taking the Democratic Party down to size for ignoring the very real progress that has been made in Iraq since the  invasion – despite the very obvious and numerous missteps by the current Administration in the process.

Exhibit “A” in this war for the hearts and minds of the American people is Democratic Joe Lieberman  (D-CT), who, fresh from a visit to Iraq, opined for the Wall Street Journal in late November that we must not cut and run in Iraq for the sake of the 27 million Iraqis that will pay the price if we cave in to the 10,000-or-so that are fighting us (as Representatives Murtha,  Pelosi et al would have us to do).

As Neal Boortz opines, the Democrats actually want bad news, writing:

Remember...when a Republican is in the Oval Office....Democrats thrive on bad news. What's bad for America and bad for the Military is just fine for the left.

Well, the upshot of all this is that Lieberman is being rumored as a possible replacement for Rumsfeld.  (Hat tip: realclearpolitics.) should the latter step down sometime in the next six months or so and that the Democrats are furious at Lieberman for DARING to take a pro-War stand regarding Iraq. (Hat tip: lgf.)

Little green footballs has a great discussion forum on this matter.

More on the Very Sore Subjects of Illegal Immigration and Immigration ”Reform”

More on the Very Sore Subjects of Illegal Immigration and Immigration ”Reform”

As much as President Bush is – despite, in my view, exceedingly poor advice from SECDEF Rumsfeld since the invasion – on the side of the angels regarding his determination to stand up to the terrorists, he is – quite paradoxically – a truly diabolical figure in the controversy surrounding the running domestic sore of illegal immigration and the need for border control and immigration reform.

First, there is the matter of the Bush Family’s close ties to leading (and exceedingly corrupt) Mexican figures, both past and present.

Second, there is the unpleasant fact of Bush’s blatant and arrogant disregard for our country’s broken borders – not only during his entire Presidency (that is, until he – cough, cough – suddenly woke up to the issue a few weeks ago), but also during his tenure as Governor of Texas.

Third, there is the ugly truth that employers love to hire illegals (because they will work for less and do not require health insurance) and President Bush owes a LOT of political favors to such employers for all their financial backing during his two hard-fought Presidential campaigns.

Fourth, there is the appalling fact that Bush has done nothing to support – and much to hurt – the Minutemen, a grassroots organization dedicated to helping protect our borders until the Federal Government wakes up from its Rip Van Winkle snooze-time on the border.  (In fact, it is the Minutemen who have forced the President to begin mouthing things that he truly does not believe in his heart regarding the need to tighten border security.

In fact, when it has come to border security, Bush has been so derelict – derelict to the point that – that, were there not a war ongoing and were the majority party not in bed with Bush on this issue and were the opposing party in Congress not dedicated to weakening America, he would be ripe for impeachment proceedings.

Well, the only thing the Bush truly seems to believe on the matter of our broken borders and immigration reform is that – and he has made this asinine statement repeatedly – “family values don’t stop at the border,” as if “family values” trump the American Constitution and state and federal laws.

To translate: President Bush thinks that it is just peachy that we have upwards of some eleven million illegal immigrants living in this country – with the number increasing daily.  In fact, he wants to begin extending them amnesty, but using other terminology to do so in order to gain “deniability” (I am not in favor of “amnesty,” just in favor of legalizing the illegals, get it?)

However, the President faces one major problem, while the Washington leadership of both major parties is either blind to the problem of illegal immigration – or sees selfish advantages in leaving it unaddressed – the average man on the street is fed up with the problem.  So fed up are Americans with illegal immigration that it has become the number one domestic issue in this country for a significant number (if not a majority) of Americans.

The Congressional “voice in the wilderness” on the issue of illegal immigration over the past six year or so has been Representative Tom Tancredo (R-CO), whom Karl Rove has long-ago banned from the White House.

I heard Tancredo a couple weeks back on a local talk radio show, the Carl Wiglsworth show, and he indicated that, whereas five-or-so years ago, most of his Congressional colleagues were oblivious to the issue of illegal immigration, it is now THE topic in conversations among members of Congress whenever they return to Washington from trips to their home districts.  Thus, Tom Tancredo – Hugh Hewitt to the contrary notwithstanding – has had a huge impact in Washington over the past five years, although he has largely flown under the media radar while so doing.

All this leads me to highlight two articles for your reading pleasure.  First, Pat Buchanan, takes President Bush to task for his “amnesty-under-another-name” approach to legalizing millions of lawbreakers.  (Illegal implies some law/s have either been broken or circumvented.)

Second, John Fund does an excellent analysis of the showing of Jim Gilchrist, founder of the Minuteman Project, in the recent special Congressional election held in Orange County, California.  Gilchrist lost.  In fact he came in third behind the Republican winner and the Democrat runner-up.

However, as Fund points out – and do not miss this critical point – Gilchrist, running as a candidate for the unknown American Independence Party and on the strength of an amateurish campaign – garnered fully 25% of the vote while running as a “single-issue” candidate.  Do the math: If a party can get 25% of the vote (or even 10% of the vote) in the average Congressional election, that means it can be a deal-breaker.  This means that those members of Congress running for re-election in 2006 had better not tick off people on the illegal immigration issue – and they know it!

The bottom line is: The illegal immigrants broke the law to enter this country the way they did.  To grant them amnesty not only undermines the rule of law (how about amnesty for all first-time drug offenders?), it also sends the wrong message to the rest of the world:  America is easy; America will not even enforce its own borders; ally-ally-else-in-free.

President Bush, you are WRONG on amnesty.  And so is Senator McPain and Senator Kennedy and the MSM and all the others who want to cave on this issue.

Some Things TIME DOESN’T Ask about Its Fellow “Enemies Within”

Some Things TIME DOESN’T Ask about Its Fellow “Enemies Within”

If you listen to radio talk-show host Michael Savage for any length of time, you will quickly learn – in no uncertain terms – that Savage (in my view, correctly) sees the primary threat to our country at this time as coming from the global Islamofascist movement.

As such, he is a supporter of President Bush’s efforts against terrorism, as far as they go – though Savage (again, rightly, in my view) believes the war in Iraq has been grossly mismanaged by an insanely politically-correct approach that seems to spend more energy weeding out instances (whether real or imagined) of “detainee-abuse” on the part of our troops and bending over backwards to avoid killing Iraqis than it does hunting and killing the enemy.

Savage opposes the war because it is being UNDERfought.  Savage believes (again, rightly, in my view) that too many American fighting men have been sacrificed in the cause of limiting Iraqi casualties – to whit, sending Marines from house-to-house in Fallujah rather then first flattening the city from the air using B-52s.

HOWEVER, after assigning “Enemy Number One” status to the Islamofascist movement, Savage VERY emphatically points out that our country ALSO faces a SIMULTANEOUS and very lethal danger from “The Enemy Within” (often citing the ancient Latin author Cicero as his source for that concept).

And Savage is not the least bit shy about naming names about whom he thinks constitute the ranks of the “enemy within.”  At the top of his list is the ACLU. (“Vermin” he calls them.)  Next are the liberal mainstream media (NYT, CBS, ABC, etc, ad infinitum). (“Vermin,” again, and also “empty suits and empty skirts.”)

Next are the bought-and-paid-for politicians in both parties in Washington, who are looking out for their own selfish interests – and those of their lobbyist friends – rather than the best interests of the United States.  (“Empty suits and skirts,” again.)

Also coming in for Savage’s excoriation as allies of the “enemy within” are the faceless, unaccountable bureaucrats in Washington who cover up, rather than expose what is wrong (e.g.,  the Able Danger scandal here); leftist college professors and administrators; corporate leaders who make major decisions without any regard to what is best for this country, and the Hollywood elite (more “vermin”), and…. the Muslims living in America.

Savage unapologetically calls for the arrest and imprisonment of all who undermine our nation’s security during this time of a shooting war with an external enemy.  He approvingly refers to Abraham Lincoln’s incarceration and/or deportation of some critics during the Civil War in this regard.

However, of all the groups mentioned above, I would like to focus on the last one mentioned:  The Muslims in America.

Savage says mosques should be monitored and subversive imams imprisoned or deported.  I agree.  In fact, I believe that the FBI is doing some monitoring of mosques and where the get their funds and how they spend their funds.

Having said all this, I find it instructive to note that management of TIME, Inc,. part of the “vermin” in the media has recently seen fit to run a “puff-piece” photo essay on “Islam in the USA.”

I find the photo essay instructive, as well as alarming, in several respects.  First, the essay is instructive in that – judging from the photos – it shows a mosque in the environs of our country’s capital (Sterling, VA) that is VERY well-funded.  It is further instructive in that, looking at the action photos illustrating various facets of life in the mosque, from a wedding to daily prayer, there is no sign whatsoever of the slightest affinity for things American: No hint of an American flag, an American eagle, photos of our troops in harm’s way, framed copies of our founding documents, or any historical pictures of anything in the least Americana.

In fact, looking at the photos, one might suppose himself to be seeing sights from Chechnya or Saudi Arabia, as much as from a precinct virtually adjacent the seat of our country’s seat of governmental power.

To me, the most sickening photo in the photo essay shows the mosques Imam, Mohammed Magid, being honored by the FBI for his “cooperation” in the War on Terror.  I do not get it.  This guy gets honored – and for what?  Let me guess: For NOT encouraging his congregation to blow up any  buildings?

Some questions on which the fawning Time photo spread does not even touch are:
  • Where does the mosque get its funds?  (Are any funneled in from Saudi Arabia?)

  • Where does the mosque spend its money?  (Are any funds going to Islamic “charities” that are known to get funds into the hands of the Palestinian leaders?)

  • Has anyone in the mosque’s congregation been arrested in connection with terrorist activities or sympathies in, say, the past ten years?

It may well be that the good Imam Magid may be a patriotic American citizen whose mosque eschews any funds from Saudi Arabia and carefully sees that any charitable donations go only to help the truly needy and reports any know terrorist sympathizers to the FBI, . . . .   But, how do we know all this?  Are we simply supposed to “assume” it?

The article is alarming in that it shows just how closely allied are the “vermin” in the MSM with the Muslims in the current political balance sheet.  Can you imagine such a friendly, benign, negative insinuation-free photo essay by TIME, Inc. of, say, Jerry Falwell and his congregation in action?

I agree with Savage:  We need to halt the immigration of more Muslims to this country.  Their mosques need to be monitored.  We are at war – and, in this war, to date, NONE of the enemy agents have sprung from Jewish synagogues or Catholic or Protestant or Mormon churches.  I am calling for profiling, the ACLU will scream.  Call it what you want, you seditionist vermin.

Remember: The Muslim vision for the United States – and for the world – is for all of us to be under Shari’a Law, meaning the Constitution of the United States would be replaced with religious Muslim Law (even for non-Muslims).  Christians and Jews under Muslim rule who choose to retain their own faiths are required under Shari’a Law are called Dhimmis and required to pay an annual poll tax called a “jizya” just for the privilege of living as a second-class citizen in a Muslim society.

Of course, there are very active, ACLU-like organizations (chief of which is CAIR) in this country that are ferociously attacking anyone who dares criticize anything Muslim in this country.

However, there are also some organizations that exist to counter the malevolent effects of CAIR and likeminded organizations.  One such organization that deserves your financial support is anti-CAIR.

UN Not Amused by Muhammad Funnies – What Freedom of the Press?

UN Not Amused by Muhammad Funnies – What Freedom of the Press?

Posting in a hurry, so here it is:

The main thread and the hat tip is here on lgf.  Follow the links and read the posted comments!

A Danish newspaper recently published cartoons mocking Muhammad the Prophet.

Some of the cartoons are shown here.  (Hat tip:  greatdane.)

The UN’s predictably pro-Muslim response can be found here.

Important Scandinavian blogs:  fjordman and filtrat.

I encourage everyone to look at, enjoy, and DISSEMINATE these cartoons!  The Muslim-loving UN bureaucrats are a bunch of fuddy-duddies!

Hewitt v. Savage: Give Me Savage (Every Time)!

Hewitt v. Savage: Give Me Savage (Every Time)!

Funny, though I have never heard Hugh Hewitt mention Michael Savage or Savage mention Hewitt on their respective talk radio shows, I have been told (or have read) that Hewitt despises Savage – and I am certain that the feeling is mutual.

Both men are enormously influential figures on the conservative political scene.  In fact, it would seem that that these two men rather define the two main schools of thought in among those who oppose Liberalism today – with Hewitt representing the “check-pants Republicans” (a Savagism) who daren’t break with the Northeastern GOP bluebloods and with Savage representing the once-Democrat-leaning taxi-cab drivers and construction workers who care not a whit for the finer points of inside-the-beltway infighting, but who DO want the borders sealed and the war on terrorists fought with a HELL of a lot more gusto than Andover-Yale-Harvard GWB and Princeton Rumsfeld are willing to put forth.  (Not the done thing, ol’ boy, you see!)

Hewitt and Savage are both brilliant individuals.  They are both well-educated (Hewitt is Harvard-UMich and Savage is Queens College-UCBerkeley).  Hewitt is an attorney turned media star and Savage is a Ph.D-level nutritionist turned media star.  Hewitt is a refined and outspoken evangelical Christian and Savage is a rough-cut Jewish religious eclectic.  Hewitt poo-poohs the uncouth Minutemen and Tom Tancredos of the world.  Savage celebrates them.  When the ten marines were killed in Fallujah last week, the stayed Hewitt played (admittedly moving) church music and calmly asked for prayer for the bereaved families.  The mercurial Savage, on the other hand, almost maniacally SCREAMED FOR REVENGE, CRIED OUT FOR BLOOD!

Hmm.  What to do here?  I, like Hewitt, am an evangelical Christian, but – of the two – I would take Savage as my commander-in-chief any day!

Last evening, Hewitt was gloating that Jim Gilchrist had lost a California Congressional election to a mainstream Republican.  Hewitt even went so far as to say that Congressman Tom Tancredo (R-CO) has had zero impact in Washington.  That last statement is either disingenuous or Hewitt has taken leave of his senses.  Tancredo was talking illegal immigration in Washington when on one else even knew it was an issue.  Now, it is THE ISSUE, which is what Savage as been saying all along for years – his mantra being, “Borders, Language, Culture!”

Come on, Hugh, try crawling down from your “holier-than-thou” high horse and CALL for some JIHADIST BLOOD and give Tancredo the credit he is due.  Everything that is done in Washington is not done in the press conference format, and you know it.

I say, “Viva Long Live Savage!”

Exactly Which Holiday Is That President Bush?

Exactly Which Holiday Is That, President Bush?

The Bushes throw character and conviction to the wind – send out gelded (not gilded) – xxxxxxmas Cards (hat tip:WND.)of which even Anthony Romero, the flaming bugger-in-chief of the seditious ACLU, might approve.

The outspoken (Evangelical Christian) Editor of WorldNetDaily.com, Joseph Farah was so disgusted with the card he received from the President that he threw his out immediately.  (Good for Farah; bad for Bush!)

Premier US Catholic Layman William A. Donohoe was less than impressed, as well.

What ever happened to saying, “Merry Christmas?”

As the two radio hosts filling in for Michael Savage today said, what is the point of dissing over 90% of the people (who celebrate Christmas) in order to appease the minority who are offended by it?

My take is that Laura Bush is not the brightest bulb in the pack and that this kind of thing is her doing.  Perhaps the President let’s her have “her way” in such things in order to keep domestic disruption to a minimum.

Whatever the reason, it is not good enough for me, Mr. President – and, oh, by the way, just WHICH holiday did you have in mind?  (Hint: If it is Christmas, then say “Christmas,” just like you have no problem saying “Ramadan” ESPECIALLY when YOU celebrate that event every year with Muslim guests IN the White House, Mr. President – something NO other US President has EVER done!)

_______________

Post Script:  On the same theme:  WND (Jewish) columnist and humorist has a good piece, called The Jewish grinch who stole Christmas.

Post Post Script:  The Washington Times has a piece on this subject, as well, in which (just as I thought) First Lady Laura Bush’s Press Secretary(! – want to bet that Mrs. Washington, Mrs. Lincoln, and Mrs. Truman somehow managed to survive without having a personal “press secretary?”), Susan Whitson is quoted lamely defending the deliberate omission of the “C”-word from the White House’s generic “Holiday Card,” as follows:

"It's a time when we welcome all different faiths," said Susan Whitson, press secretary to Mrs. Bush. "The president has an obligation to acknowledge that."

Another Post Script:  You know this issue is big when it gets top billing on Conan O’Brien’s late-night NBC comedy show, as this WND piece points out.

Jews Who Call Christians Their Enemies

Jews Who Call Christians Their Enemies

For starters, if you don’t know where this blog stands with regard to the Nation of Israel, read some older posts.  It is difficult to find a more vociferously pro-Israel blog than this one.  However, read on ….

In recent days, we have read how the Anti-Defamation League has decided to target Evangelical Christians (and their political agenda) as their top foes in the political arena.

Now we read in the Washington Times that a significant group of US Jewish leaders have met to consider how to counter the challenge of Evangelical Christians who are, among other things, (scary music, please!) daring to express their views in the political arena.

It is somewhat amusing to see these Jewish leaders going NOT after the growing Muslim threat in the US from such organizations as CAIR; not after the ACLU, which hates all religion to some extent; not after degrading Hollywood producers who flood their homes with trash; and not after radical homosexuals who would gladly bugger the sons of these Jewish leaders.

Of course not! They are obsessed with going after the one group in the US that – apart from US Jewish groups themselves – is MOST vocal in speaking out for the cause of the Nation of Israel and its God-given right to Eretz Yisrael (the Land of Israel).

Whether this anti-Evangelical focus is partly the result of sheer ignorance, cowardice,  or exclusively from bigotry is not easily determined.

However, I think it is clear that Michael Savage (himself a Jew) has a point when he brands such Jews as Charles Schumer and Barbara Boxer as “Christian-haters.”  I would extend this moniker the likes of Abe Foxman, et al, as well.

Hatred – like all sin – knows no ethnic or religious boundaries.  Sadly, some of the Jews who shriek the most loudly about “Never Again” every year during Holocaust Remembrance are blinded to their very own special brand of hatred – Evangelicalphobia.

As Vox Day has pointed out: This is a REALLY STUPID MOVE by these Jewish leaders, for they are picking on the ONE GROUP in this world that has proven to be a strong supporter of both Jews and the Nation of Israel.

Al-Qaedacratic Leader Coward Dean Commits Sedition on Live Radio in San Antonio

Al-Qaedacratic Leader Coward Dean Commits Sedition on Live Radio in San Antonio

The squealing that you hear in the background is the sound of the Dhimmi-wannabe Al-Qaedacrat surrender-monkeys in heat.  The sound is disgusting – and all the more so since Coward Dean was given a platform to undermine our troops’ morale right here in San Antonio – one of America’s major military hubs.

To add insult to injury, the station that gave Dean the microphone was the 50,000-Watt blowtorch, WOAI, 1200AM, an allegedly “conservative” radio station.  Riiiiiiiiiiiiight.

To express your “appreciation” to WOAI management for hosting the Surrender-Monkey-in-Chief on their station today, click this link to access contact information.

I am the father of a soldier in Iraq.  Our troops deserve better than Coward Dean refusing to even entertain THE POSSIBILITY of a victory by the US in Iraq.  This guy is an Al-Jazeerah producer’s DREAM.

What Dean has done is seditious.  He should be jailed for speaking like this in wartime.  And sponsors advertising on WOAI should be encouraged to drop their ads.

Send Your SOS NOW to Your Congressman and Senators!

Send Your SOS NOW to Your Congressman and Senators!

We often talk of sending out an “SOS” in time of need.  What does SOS literally mean?  It means “Save Our Ship.”

Well, the time has arrived for all patriotic Americans to send out an SOS to Congress to save America’s only two remaining active battleships – the USS Iowa and the USS Wisconsin, as a Senate-House Armed Services conference meet be meeting this week to approve turning these two monsters into …. MUSEUMS, for God’s sake!

Suffice it to say that these babies are HUGE and POWERFUL.  What is their biggest asset?  Sixteen-inch guns that can lob shells the size of Volkswagen “bugs” against a land-based enemy from a safe location off-shore.

Suffice it, also, to say that there is no way that these ships could be built today.

But, leave it up to the Pentagon bean-counters and the Perfumed-Prince Naval Admirals (whose ranks now boast “Lady Admirals!”) to be lobbying Congress hard to KILL these battleships (which are currently required to be kept in reserve), so that the Navy can press ahead with the FAR less-powerful and far MORE expensive DD(X) destroyer, which will come off the presses for a mere $5 or $6 Billion dollars a copy.

Only problem is:  The Iowa and the Wisconsin are real steel and wood ships that can really sail the seven seas, whereas the DD(X) is at present only the gleam in a contractor’s eye.   (The first DD(X) isn’t scheduled off the assembly line until …..
(get this!) the year 2015 AT THE EARLIEST.

I guess the Navy hopes that “concept drawings” of the DD(X) are supposed to keep the Chinese at bay during the interim between now and 2015!

Guess who wants to see these ships kept on active duty, according to Robert Novak, the author of the piece linked to above?  The US Marines (and the Army), who would be the ones benefiting from those mighty guns in the future, even as they benefited from them in Korea and VietNam.

Somewhere this bean-counting ass-hattery of closing bases and killing weapons systems has got to stop.  Clearly, the momentum for stopping this “inside-the-Beltway” idiocy will have to come from “We the People.”

Don’t know your Congressman’s or Senators’ contact information?  Please click here to get quick help with that!
