Bareback Mountain: Sodomy Glorified – With Kinky Spurs and Chaps and All – Part2
Bareback Mountain: Sodomy Glorified – With Kinky Spurs and Chaps and All – Part2
As a follow-up to my earlier post on this subject, I would like to draw folks’ attention to an excellent analysis of the clever psychological approach taken by the makers of the movie Bareback Mountain, of late critical acclaim.
The analysis, by WND’s Dave Kupelian, does an excellent job of showing how the movie succeeds in wedding the theme of boy-means-boy-and-buggers-him to the time-honored and universally-respected American cowboy mystique, thereby breaking down some of the psychological resistance that some viewers might otherwise have to such a campy theme.
Kupelian shows how viewers (who, in my view, clearly lack a scriptural moral framework of right and wrong) are being “won over” by the film.
While the film focuses on the two “gay” cowboys and the ups and downs of their mutual sodomite infatuation, Kupelian trenchantly notes that the cuckolded wives and neglected children scarcely come in for a sympathetic scene in the movie.
In Hollywood these days, it seems that it’s all about listening to the “little head” – and, extra credit goes to those who accomplish that gratification in a recklessly selfish “same-sex” kind of way (especially if done while wearing cowboy boots)!

Kill any fags recently bigot????
hi, downtown lad! Thanks for the visit and the "well-argued" comment!
(Actually, your comment was emotional, adolescent, and ad hominem -- as in, you actually sound as though you hate me! I am shocked, SHOCKED by that indeed!)
Actually, I am NOT surprised: Gay activists are fueled by hate as they insist on shoving universal acceptance of their abnormal sexual preferences down everyone's throats.
Sorry, I am not bending over for those of you in what Michael Savage aptly terms "The Purple Mafia!"
By the way, self-inflicted AIDS (contracted via bareback riding, don't you know, lad) kills more "fags" (your term) on a daily basis than anything else -- but you would rather insanely focus your wrath on me -- and I have never yet killed a man, woman, or child.
Oh, sorry! Was I supposed to feel GUILTY because of your accusatory post?
Well JG, judging by that comment, you must be doing something right!
hi, sk! Thank you for the visit and post! The more I think about it, the way I see the "logic" employed in public discourse by what Michael Savage calls "The Purple Mafia" goes something like this: ANYONE who does not drop trousers, bend over, and spread cheeks for these types' agenda to be, uh, imposed upon him, will henceforth be labled as a "bigot," "homophobe," or "right-wing religious extremist."
I just want to add that I saw "Brokeback Mountain," and I thought the sex scene was a turn-on.
Yes, I am posting this comment just to annoy you (although it's true).
hi, elizabeth! you never cease to crack me up. Didn't one or both of the "characters" in the story leave his/their wife/wives for his/their sodomite pal? is THAT a turn-on, too? just wondering. (what if that happened to you -- and you had kids?) sorry: i won't be seeing bareback mountain anytime soon. -- gunjam
