Since When Do You Have Veto Power over the US Congress, El Presidente Fox?

Since When Do You Have Veto Power over the US Congress, El Presidente Fox?

After some 20 years of gross neglect of our Southern border by both major parties throughout a parade of Presidential Administrations, the House of Representatives finally found the courage to vote to build a wall/fence across some 700 miles of our border with Mexico.

Well, the Mexican Government is UPSET – and its officials are speaking out against it, even saying they want to kill that fence or law!

Hey there! It was on our news this AM that the Mexican Govt is now paying a US based public relations firm to run ads for them. The premise is that they are good and any attempt to control the border is bad. GREAT just GREAT!!!

Merry Christmas to you and your family. I keep checking for the "he's Home" message:)

Hey, sk! I know your home state and you know mine -- and this (illegal immigration) is THE big issue of the moment as far as the domestic sphere is concerned -- and President Bush is NOT on the side of the angels on this one.

He is not home, yet -- but the time draws near. (It will be holidays in Iraq for him!)

Thank you for the kind wishes:
MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and your family, as well, sk! -- gunjam

I didn't feel one way or another about the wall before this Vincente Fox story. The problem is bigger than a wall can solve. It has more to do with employers in this country and corruption in Mexico. And those problems need to be addressed before we start constructing walls. That said, now that Vincente says that "Mexico won't stand for it...." I want that wall in the worst way. I will go myself on my vacation time and help!!!
