Scotland’s Cardinal States the Obvious: Muslim Leader Offended

Scotland’s Cardinal States the Obvious: Muslim Leader Offended

Recently, Scotland’s Roman Catholic Cardinal, Keith O’Brien, asserted an obvious and undeniable historical truth:  Namely, that Scotland is a Christian country.

Of course, leave it to the local Hindu and Muslim leaders to be offended.

"Mr. O'Brien should be addressing his comments to Christians," said Inayat Bunglawala of the Muslim Council of Britain. "I think Muslims are surprised that many Christians don't take their faith so seriously."

Okay.  Let’s see …..  In India, there are millions Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, and so on.  Yet, does ANYONE object when one classifies India as “Hindu country?”

Or, in Malaysia, there are Buddhists, Hindus, and Christians by the hundreds of thousands.  Yet, does anyone protest when Malaysia is termed a “Muslim country?”

Of course not!  But don’t let anyone DARE classify Scotland as a “Christian country.”

Why . . .  we might OFFEND someone. And, as Michael Savage is wont to say, we need to be “Seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeensitive!”

I just regret that, in the land that produced such Protestant greats as John Knox, it took a Catholic prelate to speak the truth on this issue!

Where ARE Scotland’s Protestants, anyway?
