Descent into Dhimmitude
Descent into Dhimmitude
It is becoming increasingly clear that the West is losing its vitality – its will to live. We are selling our birthright for a mess of pottage – Western faith and freedom for a false and temporary “peace” with the determined forces of Jihad.
Let us not kid ourselves: Jihad is not waged only by the “few” in Islam. Sure, perhaps only the few blow themselves up – but the “many” clearly at least passively tolerate the activists, if not secretly root for them.
Two recent examples in the news of the capitulation of the Christian West (with no guns pointed at heads):
I have already blogged of the ridiculous tour of Muslim countries by White House crony Karen Hughes in her latest incarnation as some sort of “Secretary” for the US State Department.
Now, Diana West, writes in the Washington Post in even more scathing terms than I did of this ridiculous “listening tour”. Must read. Clearly the Bush White House has lost its taste for a “war” against an enemy it could never bring itself to name.
Second, in an example of the ludicrous taken to extreme, please read Mark Steyn on the ridiculous banning of all things porcine at an English Council office. (This includes “Winnie the Pooh” tissues, mind you!) (Hat tip: lgf.)
