Your Freedoms Are in DIRE Jeopardy

Your Freedoms Are in DIRE Jeopardy

Vox Day’s latest WND piece should be a wake-up call to any who care more about their Constitutional liberties (per the Bill of Rights) MORE than they care about Monday Night Football on the big-screen, Bud-Lite 12-Packs, Oprah Winfrey, and lap-dances at the local “gentlemen’s clubs”.

The recent “push” by President Bush to do weaken or do away with the Posse Comitatus Act and to allow the military to play a key role in all disaster relief may sound efficient, but is it wise?

After all, as they said about Mussolini: He made the trains run on time.  (He didn’t do much for liberty in Italy, however.)

This is a test of the American people’s mettle.  Do we have left even a small RESIDUE of the tenacious love for Liberty that drove our forefathers to brave oceans, prairies, and Indians to be able to claim a piece of liberty and opportunity for themselves?

Or, are we all about personal comfort (Monday Night Football on the big-screen, etc.) and letting the “Government” do the driving for us (to borrow from an old Greyhound Bus commercial).

President Bush is simply not a de facto friend of liberty if he keeps singing this tune, no matter how good his INTENTIONS may be.  After all, he has already given us the PATRIOT Act.  The problem with Government is that it tries to “help us” by taking away our rightful prerogatives – including our prerogative to make dumb decisions and elect ineffective local leaders like NO Mayor Nagin and LA Governor Blanco.

Funny, he still seems very Unworried about our uncontrolled, hemorrhaging, broken borders.

Ever get the impression that the Government is more concerned about controlling YOU than it is about the illegals swarming over the land?

Think about it . . . .   Then, get on the horn and let your voice be heard by your representatives in Washington.

I agree. Posse Comitatus should not be watered down. There is no need. We have the Coast Guard and The National Guard for domestic stuff. Also, you can have the regular miltary helping when you need them.....you just have to go through the proper channels. What went wrong in NOLA, didn't go wrong because of Posse Comitatus. People need to read up on it before they start talking about changing stuff.
Also, as much as I like W, and I do.....I am peeved about the borders.

I got a message from the RNC concerning donating $$ so I sent it back with a note stating that from now on any money I donate will be going to the Minute Men. They might just throw it in the trash, but word of mouth is an amazing source:)
