What’s Wrong With a Little Gang Rape, Murder, and Genocide (in Darfur)?
Nat Hentoff, in a scathing and well-sourced Washington Times opinion piece, severely scores both the Government of Sudan (for both tolerating and supporting continued Janjaweed militia depredations against the black inhabitants of Sudan’s huge Darfur region), as well as the UN (for its unwillingness to lift a finger to stop Sudan) and that United States and other democratic countries (for giving only passive lip-service to stopping the ongoing genocide in the Darfur region).
The only “good guy” cited by Hentoff in the article is the African Union, which is fed up with Sudan’s arrogance and truly wishes to stop the bloodshed and violence in the Darfur region.
