I am a huge supporter of Israel, and I agree that the Israeli/Palestinian problem has nothing to do with Iraq. But Carter, and others keep bringing it up, so we need to address it. We will get nowhere by just saying "It's a red herring, let's move on." Until we solve it and prove it has nothing to do with the violence in Iraq, they'll just use it to keep from facing the truth.
hi bostonmaggie, thank you for your comment. however, making a headache into a life-threatening illness is dishonest medicine. Making the "Palestinian problem" the center of the world's problems is dishonest politics. Until we deal with it honestly, we should not deal with it. Ms. Rice is totally clueless on this issue, as she apparently is on all matters Middle Eastern... i say give carter all the credibility he deserves on this subject (zero). -- gunjam
Carter deserves no credibility. Even his own staff at the Carter Center has deserted him on this latest book.
